The game started brightly with CIS taking the lead in the first minute of the game. A break away on the left resulted in the CIS winger sprinting clear of the UWC defence to fire into the roof of the net.

UWC regained their composure and within ten minutes, they were level with Adit Banta finishing off a good team move.

The hosts frustrated much of the UWC play with resolute defending however the mercurial Charlie Douglas found the key with a well placed shot into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.

The second half began in similar fashion however as fatigue set in for CIS more space opened up and UWC dominated much of the play. Fluid football created many opportunities to score however all too frequently UWC we’re not able to find the net.

Charlie Douglas was involved again and this time was able to complete the move with a calm finish after Banta forced a save from the keeper.

George Thomas, and Zach Whitehouse kept the team playing attractive football and Logan and Young marshalled the back line superbly.

In the closing minutes Adit Banta shot from distance and despite the Keeper getting a hand to it was unable to keep the ball from crossing the line to make it 4-1 to UWC and an emphatic team performance.
