Track and Field Invitational at KLASS

The KLASS Track & Field event occurring this weekend was a great experience for not just the returning athletes from last year but the new ones that came along this year. This year was the second time we participated in the event, we took a relatively young team, with athletes ranging from grades 9-11. This was great to see as it allows for all of us to improve on our events and set goals for the years to come.

Compared to last year, there were some changes which set new challenges for us. New schools such as ISKL and Dalat, brought some new international competition and helped us to push ourselves to our limits. Also, many members of the team were asked to attempt new events, which prior to this year they wouldn’t have considered participating in. This was due to us, unfortunately, missing many members of our team this year (due to injury, etc.). Therefore this selfless attitude to try new events was amazing and inspiring to see.

The result could have been better, placing 4th overall for boys and girls, but the mindset of the team was so positive that the trip was a memorable experience for all, regardless of the result.
